this clip and remember what you see.
STEP
2B: Review
the course information in these boxes:
Class
Attendance: If you miss part of a Class, you will be placed
on a waiting list for a vacant seat in a future Class;
however, it may not be possible to find you a replacement
seat within ICBC's 1 year time limit for GLP Courses.
Class
Outdoor Activities: Every Class has outdoor activities.
Before you come to each Class, check the hourly weather forecast
and bring an umbrella if there is any chance of rain.
If there is any chance of feeling cold outdoors, bring a warm
jacket.
ICBC
Document: If you complete the course within 1 year,
you will receive an ICBC Document for two Grade 11 credits.
If you give a copy of it to ICBC before your first road
test, your N-stage will be reduced by 6 months if
you have no driving violations with demerit points, driving
prohibitions, or at-fault crashes during your N-stage.
Course
Dynamics: Some of the course dynamics are based on the
instructor's experiences with Greyhound, Canada Safety Council,
Vancouver Police Department, Justice Institute of BC (Pacific
Traffic Education Center), Young Drivers of Canada, BC Ministry
of Attorney General (Corrections Branch), Lower Mainland Public
Schools, Vancouver Community College, Dalhousie University,
and Class 2-3-4-5-6 vehicles.
STEP
3B: Find
a driver
who has been in a crash while sitting in the driver's seat and ensure
they have never been interviewed by someone taking a GLP Course,
then ask the driver to do the following:
>
Describe the crash (sketch crash scene if difficult for you
to visualize).
>
Describe the crash consequences.
>
Describe what they think are the applicable traffic laws.
>
Describe defensive driving strategies that could have prevented
the crash.
>
Specify their color for the 10 second exercise at redredred.red
website.
Note::
Remember
all of the above so you can share it during a class.
